An Indore-based man recently threatened a woman from the Muslim community of cutting her into 35 pieces for rejecting his marriage proposal. The incident comes as an aftermath of the Aftab Poonawalla murder case where a woman, identified as Shraddha Walkar, was brutally murdered by Aftab and was cut into 35 pieces by her live-in partner and accused. Taking a leaf from Aftab’s book, the Indore-based man threatened the Mumbai-based woman into making physical relations with him and marrying him.
According to reports, the incident comes from Indore’s Banganga area and the accused has been identified as Shubham Yadav. Based on the complaint of the 22-year-old woman, the cops filed a complaint under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code including Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), Section 506 (criminal intimidation), Section 454 (house-trespass).
In her complaint, the girl mentioned that she had come from Mumbai and was living in Indore to work as an event manager. The accused reportedly entered her rented home and made relations with her without consent. He also said that he wants to get married to him.
He also said that he would cut her into 35 pieces if she rejects his marriage proposal. The police registered the woman’s complaint and the accused has since been arrested.

The matter came to the fore after the woman took to the local police and filed the complaint against the accused, identified as Shubham Yadav.
Victim Hails from Mumbai
As per reports, the victim hails from Mumbai, and had been in Indore for a few months in the event management profession. The complainant mentioned that Shubham came to her rented residence a few weeks back and made physical relations with her without her consent.
The accused told the woman that he loves her and wants to get married to her. Over the course of days, the accused made physical relationship with the woman on the pretext of wanting to marry her. Earlier on January 5, the accused took to the victim’s home once again and had physical relations with her.
Accused Threatens Victim
The same day, the accused threatened of chopped the victim into 35 pieces if she doesn’t agree to marry him. Unable to bear the trauma and being forced into making physical relations, the victim took to the Banganga police station and filed a complaint.
Accused Arrested, Investigation On
The accused, Shubham Yadav, was booked under multiple sections of the IPC, including Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), Section 506 (criminal intimidation), Section 454 (house-trespass). Add DCP, Rajesh Raghuvanshi, Indore, said that the accused has been arrested and he is being interrogated. Further investigation is on.
